I have been knitting on and off for the past five years thanks to Stitch and Bitch: The Knitter's Handbook for making it seem like something I could do and Knitty.com and Interweave Knits for making me think, "I want to knit that!" all the time.
In a lot of ways, this blog seems like a huge mistake. I'm not a fan of craft blogs in general because they seem to end up digressing into a lot of personal stuff that has nothing to do with crafting, e.g. adventures in raising children, spouses, or cooking for church potlucks. I don't do any of that. Mainly, I knit to spare the lives of co-workers and people who cut me off on the Garden State Parkway. So far, it has worked out well for those people, but I can't say the same for the yarn.
Anyway, it seems like you're not a true crafter until you have a blog where you can post embarrassing pictures of your projects, so I'll be using this to post the good, the bad, and the ugly. I may also share some of my adventures in botched DIY home improvement.
